About Forward Montana

In the spring of 2004, frustrated by the stagnation of politics, a group of college students and young professionals came together in Missoula, Montana, to start a new, different political organization. Rather than focusing on raising huge amounts of special interest money to spend on ill-conceived media campaigns, Forward Montana worked with a network of young, small donors and encouraged volunteer participation by knocking doors to build a statewide campaign fueled on little more than coffee and adrenaline.

Our vision for the future of Forward Montana is to further strengthen the voice of progressive youth in Montana politics.
