Relevant Background
Forward Montana was founded in 2004 by a group of students and young professionals in Missoula dissatisfied with other avenues for political engagement. While originally an entirely volunteer-run organization, Forward Montana currently has full-time staff overseeing a number of programs. The organization is overseen by a board of directors comprised of many of Montana's strongest young leaders from the public, private, and social sectors. Forward Montana has hundreds of members who contribute financially and provide crucial input to the direction of the organizations -- in addition to ultimately electing the board of directors who oversee the organization. |
